Farm Gate Vets was formed by merging the farm divisions of Bay Vets in Lancaster with Highgate Vets in Kendal and more recently Sedbergh Vets. We are always happy to discuss our services with new and existing clients. Please telephone us or come and see us at one of our branches.

Farm animal team

Farm Gate vets are a specialised 12 vet large animal practice dedicated to providing a first rate professional service to the farmers of North Lancashire and South Cumbria. Farm Gate Vets offer a progressive approach to welfare, health and production in any herd or flock size at a competitive price backed up by a 24-hour emergency cover that you can depend on. We provide regular in-house training courses and meetings for all aspects of farm animal production. Embryo transfer and bull semen collection with AI straw processing/production are now provided by our own vet team.

Companion animal team

Our dedicated small animal vet team include 5 vets and support of our veterinary nurses. We have access to modern diagnostic equipment including digital x-ray and ultrasound. This enables us to provide a thorough and efficient service all in-house. Our out of hours companion animal emergency service is covered by Highgate Vets.
